It definitely doesn’t harm to have your attorney review the documents, but I as soon as had a lender inform me (at closing) “this is the way it is. We’re not transforming something.”

    I beleive that the modification agreement should be reviewed if you don’t understand it; but I would not hire one of the “modification lawyers” to get me one.
