I have made the decision that I want a profession in genuine estate. I would like to be and agent or do appraisals. I would like to know how to get started. I am lookin into acquiring a certificate at a regional college. Then from there exactly where so I go. Can I get a licence following I recieve my certificate? And how hard is it to receive a occupation? I heard a person expressing that you need alot of cash to go function at an company? I had no clue about that. I just want to get commenced and if anybody could assist steer me in the proper instructions I would significantly value it.

would depend on the state you dwell in. I know in NC you can be employed with no a real estate license and they will help prepare you for the check. But you should get a training course at a regional college and allow them set up the check for you

    realtor: commission only (comfortable with that?), long hours yielding little to fair results, it’s a sales job (numbers game), don’t need money, per se, do need contacts (i.e. people willing to buy, sell, etc.), licenses, does your state require you to have one? some do some don’t. Bottomt line, if you can stick it out and get to know the right people, very rewarding both financially and perosnally. don’t expect immediate results or even somewhat immediate results. takes time and you get out what you put in.

    Intern at an appraiser firm that you think is good– try commercial as home market is decreasing– take state licensing test & pass; join association fo realtors; join your city’s planning board or at least go to their meetings; go to weekly realtor open house meetings & meet other realtors (as these are the people who will send you business for appraisals) and most importantly when given an assignment get your appraisal out quickly & make sure it is accurate.

    I’m an appraiser, and I would not recommend going into this field.

    You have to take 90 hours of education to become an intern. Then you have to intern for 2 years and accumulate 2400 hours of experience. Then you have to take the test to become either licensed or certified. Licensed appraisers are almost obsolete, so you’d have to become certified. You would need another 35 hours of education and have to survive a grueling test.

    Then, once you actually have your license, you have to go out and get clients. The business pays well, but it’s Federally regulated, unlike any other real estate business, so it’s basically very risky. You’re risking your livelihood every day. However, if you’re still interested, IREAS.com is a good start. But I’d recommend becoming an agent. They have it a lot easier and the potential for profit is a lot greater.
